This is the craft project that I have been working on all summer! : ) It's an alphabet that I made for the baby. It hangs above his changing table! I put it up with no help! The top picture is a close up to show you what they look like a little better.
How I did it, you ask?
Well, I bought these wooden rectangles from the craft store. Then, I painted them blue (2 layers). Then I super glued the big letter in the top left corner (got them at craft store). Then, I found all the pictures on the internet and printed them black and white. They got rubber cemented on. Then, with green paint, I wrote the name of what the object was. Then (Eric's idea), I outlined the name of the object with black sharpie marker to make it stand out a bit more. Then, I used MOD PODGE all over the entire thing to give them the shiny look and to keep everything glued together! We gorilla glue'd adhesive putty to the backs and then I stuck them to the wall! : )
I got this idea from a lady on Babycenter.com.. She did it for her little girl's nursery, only they did landmarks in their city. We thought it would be cute if we just picked out an alphabet ourselves.
Tell me what you think!!!
It took a lot of work, but I am VERY happy with how it turned out. Eric loves it too!!! : )
